Picking Up Where I Left Off :)

Hi all :) I am back, as I was finally able to kick whatever it was that was keeping me down! Thanks for your sweet comments :) So today as the title states, I am picking up where I left off with the 30 day challenge...mine will just be a 30 day (staggered) challenge! Today's was another tough one, not because I don't have prized possessions, nay perhaps I have too many! I have said it before and will say it again, I love stuff! <3 Add to that the fact that half of my belongings are divided between not one but two storage buildings, one here in Kentucky and the other in Texas, and well you can see where the difficulty comes in. So I decided to take pictures of my most prized possessions that are actually in my house, and to just tell you about what I would have really chosen had I been able to get to and photograph them :) Deal? Deal! On with the show!

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item(s).

My adorable pink netbook, cell phone(text-aholic) and my e-reader. My camera should by rights be shown, as I go nowhere without it, but that would have made taking the picture mighty difficult,eh?
My makeup collection. It is quite large though and would probably take several pictures to properly document, so I decided to go with my palette. Bonus that I had already taken the pictures a couple days back, so less work now!! Woot!

Now, if I weren't so strewn about, and could actually show you my most treasured items, you would be seeing:
  • stacks and stacks of photos both new and adorable old time family pictures
  • my Nanny and PawPaws treasured photograph in a gold frame
  • my doll growing up, Addie, short for Addeshewyre. Quite the name for a two year old to pick!
  • and maybe a shot of my huge shoe collection for fun!!
Sadly some of the items I held dearest when I was younger because my Nanny held them close to her heart, have become lost to me. An antique lamp, that I recently learned my aunts best friend has had for years (grr) and two small crystal figurines, one of an elephant the other a swan, neither of which I know what happened to. :( Oh well, the memories remain I suppose.

So thats it for me, what about you? What items do you hold nearest and dearest to you?? Leave it in the comments! Be seeing you soon :)

ps. Have any of you read Water for Elephants by Sarah Gruen? It was a pretty good read if not :) Also I am always looking for new interesting things to read, so if you have a suggestion, lemme know!!

May I ask how you pronounce Addie's full name?

When I think about the things that mean the most to me, I always think of them in terms of what I would grab if my house were burning to the ground and I only had a few seconds to pick things up. Pets, though not things, are at the top of the list of course. But then there is a diamond ring that was my grandmother's. I only keep it in one specific location for this very reason. My purple teddy bear, whom I have had since age three. And my laptop. I would run out of my burning house naked before I would leave these things behind.

lol, well when I was two, I specifically remembering explaining it to my mom as Add he she wire lol, but its more like Add-ih-shih-wire.

I too would ordinarily choose pets first, but I dont have one right now! So I have to settle for the photos of my babies :(

"I would run out of my burning house naked before I would leave these things behind." lol. you kill me!

It's not a joke. I've thought this through very carefully, and I would truly streak in front of potentially hot fire fighters to save the listed items.

I love that name. I may have to steal it. What kind of personality does your doll have?

hahaha if only firemen really looked the way they are portrayed :p The ones around here are rather...rotund.

She is a baby doll, completely bald and all. No personality hahaha.
