Rant

Hi all :) I have had a pretty lazy weekend :) Just chilling watching tv and reading and playing on the internet. Nice. Boring though. Sometimes I feel as though I am forty five instead of twenty five! Anyways, nothing interesting to report. 

HOWEVER. I do have a rant!

I simply do not understand the desperation for girls my age and even younger to rush into baby making. I mean SERIOUSLY.  When I was nineteen and in college, there were three girls I was CONSTANTLY with, we were absolutely inseparable, fast forward six years and they now collectively have TWELVE children. Twelve. That is INSANE. Anyways, so the real reason I am griping today is my friend Jennifer C was posting about her not having been able to start a family yet and how its unfair that less deserving people are having kids. Well here is my thing, she is 23. Only started her job less than a month ago. Her boyfriend just got out of jail after FOUR years for which he was in for drug abuse and theft via forged checks. While he was in she was "dating" two other guys. Anyways, they just moved into their first place a few weeks ago. He is still unemployed. What out of this says that they are ready for a child? Hmm..nothing!! Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE kids, hell I am one! I used to want a huge family with like fourteen kids haha, but honestly, why the rush? There is an amazing,beautiful, magical world right at your fingertips. Take advantage! I would love to have a big white wedding and a perfect little family of my own..in good time. I personally cannot imagine bringing a child into the world without first having had the opportunity nay, the privilege to experience life on the other side of the world, to be impacted by someone of another culture and hopefully be lucky enough to positively impact someone else! It is just frustrating because all these potentially amazing girls are basically throwing away their youth by having kids so prematurely. Anyways I suppose that is enough of that, I hate to be so negative on here :( Hopefully tomorrow brings better, happier, more beautiful subject matter!!
