Some of the girls in my book club, coincidentally my cousin and her sister in law, decided to read a different classic book every month this year. As this is something I too have wanted to do,but have put off again and again, I figured now was the perfect time and joined in the fun. This way at least we can hold one another accountable. This months pick was Little Women, which my mom read to me as a very young child, but I had not picked it up since. I finally, FINALLY finished it today. I both loved and loathed it. It was beautiful, emotional, tedious and trying. I am glad to have reread it, and look forward to the rest of the year. Next month we will be reading Alice in Wonderland. March shall be one of my picks. I have suggested The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Swiss Family Robinson or Anne of Green Gables, which was a childhood favorite of mine. I long to revisit it, and if not done as a group, I shall do so alone. Back to Little Women though, funnily enough, as I was reading it my sister brought me a little gift home, Little Women and Werewolves. I don't feel quite up to tackling it at this point, but I am sure I will sometime! So far this year I have read 10 books of my Goodreads Challenge Goal of 150. How about you? Read anything good lately?
