I usually try to stay away
from medically related books because they tend to me heavier than I like
and the market has been flooded with them recently, but the cover for this one
pulled me in. JUST LOOK AT IT. It's beautiful. I have been *obsessed* with yellow books this year for some reason! I'm glad that I'm shallow enough to judge a book by its cover, because it was really a great read! I
guess knowing that nothing was life threatening in this one helped to keep the
story light, as did the continual references to sunlight and the use of
color throughout the book. I loved the way the author used the senses, because it
really helped to round out the story. This was a light and fast read and
would be perfect to take with you on vacation. A blast of positive
energy. I really enjoyed the narrative that a handicap is something you
have not something you are, and that you choose your perspective and how
you'll react to the things that happen in your life. I think that is an
important reminder for everyone.
My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
