Sigh. Perhaps I should. Or maybe I was traveled with one in a past life. I love the idea of them, but perhaps not the politics of them. I wish they cared more for their animals. The magic is still there. The colors, the sounds, the smells its just encapsulating. Perhaps that explains my want of going to Clown Camp. Or my dream of running an elephant sanctuary. Or the desire I have to have a pet lion. Complete with lion hugs. Which is the purpose of this post really, lion hugs. I am obsessed with the idea. That and polar bear hugs, but that is far less documented. Anyways how sweet/loving do these beautiful lions seem. Someone get me one already!!
See?!?! How amazing/adorable/squeeee! I want one or twelve.

That is simultaneously adorable.... and terrifying. Big cats are so very powerful. We're like coke cans in comparison.
yeah its true, but man if ya watch them they seem so..soulful. powerful and intimidating yes, but wow it would be an honor to spend enough time with one of them (or more) for them to be so accepting of you!
I agree. We had... an incident.... at our house last week. So I am feeling acutely aware of animals and the fact that, while we may interact with them, they are never fully domesticated. Things can happen. Also, I know someone who used to care for a bear which he raised from a cub. When it was four or five years old, it mauled his arm and would not release him. :( In the end they had to put the bear to sleep. It was very sad.
ohh that is very sad :( I can't handle it when folks put animals down. *sigh*
