I am from Texas. Waco to be exact, where Dr. Pepper is regarded as a gift from the gods and drank like water. You can't blame us, its the best soda EVER. Sugary, caffeine-y, goodness. Mmmm. It's my own personal brand of heroin. I am sure that if Edward Cullen had been introduced then he wouldn't have given Bella a second glance. I digress. The point is, I am addicted. We (being the family and I) average around two 2 liters a day. Thats grossly unhealthy and horribly expensive. So yeah, I have decided that I need to break the habit. Introducing No Soda November*, my goal is to be soda free for at least 21 days this month. Ideally consecutively, as they say that it takes 21 days to make it a habit. It is all part of a larger, more masterful plan to get somewhat healthier and seemed like a logical starting point. So wish me luck and feel free to join in as well!! I saw this neato (read: terrifying) poster about the potential impact of soda to your health. If thats not motivating, I don't know what is! Surely not the way my head is POUNDING from lack of caffeine or the way I have to pee every thirty minutes from the water I am drinking. lol. Wish me luck friends!
*I am not dumb enough to believe that I won't drink some Dr. Pepper on Thanksgiving, lets get real here.
ETA:
Its November, so I along with many other internet addicts, will be sharing one thing each day that I am thankful for.
I am thankful that no matter how desperate matters seem, it always works out in the end.
