A few weeks ago I started a New Thought Church, called Unity. I really like the idea of it, they do not preach strictly from the Bible nor do they discount it. Instead of prayers we do some mantra's and meditation. There are drumming circles. It is actually enjoyable instead of boring. Anyway, so far (mostly) so good. Today's teaching kind of ticked me off to be honest, because it was all about why being frugal is a bad thing. I learned afterward that it is because the church was needing money, but come on, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

Anyway, after church we headed on over to the Gulf Breeze Zoo for the annual Boo at the Zoo. It was our first visit to the property and we weren't sure what to expect, but it seemed like a fun time to go! It was definitely a fun day. Besides the animals, there were bounce houses, trick or treat booths, face painting stations, balloon animals and a foam party. My only complaint is the early closing time of four pm didn't allow for us to see or do everything. Next time we will skip church. lol. My personal favorite part was feeding the Giraffes. They are one of my favorite animals and I had one take an immediate liking to me, opting to come to me even as others attempted to feed and pet him. I did scream a little when he licked me, but only because it was unexpected. I am pretty sure that I am a Giraffe whisperer in addition to being an Elephant whisperer, which I "discovered" back at the Renaissance Faire in March. lol.
