Would Like to Meet by Rachel Winters - Bookin' It With Jen

Evie has been an assistant at a small tv and film agency for 7 years, which is unheard of. When her boss finally offers her more responsibility she is ecstatic - but there is a catch. If she can't get their arrogant. award winning screenwriter client to finish the rom-com script he is overdue on then her job is doomed, and so is the agency. Luckily as a self proclaimed aficionado of the genre Evie is determined to help the Nob - ahem- Ezra to break his writer's block and finish the script. He is less than enthused but Evie makes him an offer he can't refuse. In order to inspire him she will use the meet-cutes from famous romantic comedies to meet men, the more awkward the better, and if at the end of the three month deadline she can find love, Ezra will finish the script and save the agency. What follows is a hot mess of disastrous proportions as she spills drinks on men in coffee shops, trips them in restaurants and even sets out on a five hour road trip with a stranger, all in the name of love and screenwriting.

I liked this book but a lot of the plot was pretty predictable, and perhaps even transparent. The characters were pretty likeable with the exception of Evie's roommate Jane who seemed rather pointless in the grand scheme of things. It felt like that author just wanted a bit of raunch to mix up the sweetness of the story and it was really unnecessary. Otherwise I loved almost everything about this book.
