I may look young, but I don't always feel like my skin does. This is probably because I am terrible about remembering to use sunscreen and lotion. I always have the best intentions but usually remember sometime after I come home with a sun burn. Not smart. It doesn't help that sunscreen can be so messy and greasy. Who wants that? I certainly don't want my eyebrows to slide down my face because I decided to be sun smart! lol. (I laugh, but I'm serious, got any good brow product recommendations that are water proof? Leave them in the comments please!) Anyway, thanks to Crowdtap I have recently had the chance to try out a new product, Garnier Clearly Brighter Brightening & Smoothing Daily Moisturizer SPF15.

According to the information I received, Garnier Clearly Brighter promises to "noticeably improve the tone and texture of your skin in just one week!"

Now the real question. Does it work? For me at least the answer was...sort of. 

 You can see in these pictures the difference before and after applying the lotion. For photo purposes I only applied it what is the left side of my face as you see it here. Notice how much brighter the skin is on that side. In this I would compare its brightening properties to that of a highlighter, it works, but temporarily. When you wash your face you're back to normal. This isn't a bad thing though, and more importantly I found myself reaching for that little tube every morning, so I was getting the sunscreen and moisturizing properties that my skin so desperately wants.

My Perspective:

Packaging: I can only speak to the size that I received, but the tube form was very practical and the product comes out easily. The size is perfect to just toss into your makeup bag and fits well into TSA compliance standards. The white, green and orange color scheme feels very fresh and appealing and I appreciate the iridescence of the green lid. 5/5

Scent:The scent is very light and clean smelling. Considering this is a facial product this pleases me very much, as I don't consider that to be an area where fragrance should be worn. To me there is something almost nostalgic about it, but it is as of yet something I can't place. 4.5/5

Texture: It has the texture that you would expect from a lotion or sunscreen but absorbs very quickly and easily. It does NOT leave any greasy residue behind and is basically untraceable once its absorbed. A little bit goes a long way as well, I use somewhere between a dime and nickel sized dollop for my entire face and neck area. 5/5

Claims:I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin texture and appearance since picking up Garnier Clearly Brighter. My face is definitely softer and just healthier looking. As far as brightening, it does do it, but on a temporary basis. I was hoping to achieve more of a glow, but am happy with the results I have had. 4.5/5

Purchase/Recommend-YES! I have seen really great results in just a couple weeks worth of use, so I can't wait to see how continuing to use it will improve my skin. Plus like I said before, anything that helps me actually remember to take better care of my skin is a winner in my book!
